Get Hitched

A poem incorporating the titles of at least six Alfred Hitchcock films

Rebecca was keen, I confess,

On The man who knew too much.

A notorious cad and a bounder by gad

With a liking for murder and such.

Her other love, Harry by name,

Was a pig farmer down in the dell,

But the trouble with Harry, who’d asked her to marry,

Was Harry’s unsavoury smell.

No suspicion had Harry at all

When the rogue took Rebecca one night,

And committed a sin – in Jamaica Inn,

Which left the poor lass in a plight.

Young and innocent maidens beware

Lest spellbound you choose the wrong man,

The birds only sing till the bees start to sting

And he leaves you to carry the can.
